Steamed Cream Dory with Chinese Style Sauce

Aside from fried breaded cream dory with orange in color sweet and sour sauce, my son would have asked for other menu that is something different for usual cream dory fish menu. So i grabbed my laptop, browse the internet and find menus for cream dory. And, it came out a lot of menus for cream dory fish, but this one tickle my interest to cook it steamed --STEAMED CREAM DORY WITH CHINESE STYLE SAUCE.

Cook like a Chinese!


I first checked on the available ingredients in my kitchen. When i found it easy and all are available, i started with it.

Here's what you need:

Steamer
Cream dory fish
ginger

For the Sauce:

Knorr Liquid Seasoning
Oyster sauce
sesame oil
water
sugar
fried garlic (can be bought fried in market)

Procedure:

Sliced Cream Dory ready for Steaming

1. Set up your steamer. Line the bottom of the steamer with wax paper (so fish won't stick to the bottom of the pot)
2. Layer the sliced cream dory into the steamer with ginger on it. Let it steam for 10 minutes.

Sauce:

In a separate pan, mix the Knorr Liquid Seasoning, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, water and sugar. Bring to boil.

In a platter, arrange the steamed cream dory. Pour over the sauce and sprinkle with fried garlic. Serve with hot plain rice :)
