Chef Tony's Popcorn-- Tub of Happiness.

I never know that eating popcorn could be a bridge in helping out the persons with down syndrome.

I am familiar with Chef Tony's Popcorn but I don’t buy it because it’s half pricey than the one we used to buy.

When we we’re in a mall in Cubao, I was struck to buy some and so let hubby taste it since I know popcorn is his favorite. Since it has promo that time, we got three small tub for a price of P299. You need to include a small tub of Original Caramel then choose two more small tub of other flavors to avail the promo. Each small tub cost P115 up depending on the flavors. Here are what we got: Original Caramel, White Chocolate and Country Cheddar.

I was surprised when I saw at the side of the bag that says a portion of the sales goes to: DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES.

Now, eating popcorn could be more enjoyable if it’s Chef Tony’s Popcorn because you know that you share the blessings to someone by simply purchasing.
Chef Tony’s Popcorn is available in Asia—Manila, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand and Cambodia.

Aegis Malaysia says sorry for offensive ad

In relation to previous video by Aegis, the global business outsourcing process company, they promote Malaysia for a good place to invest. The video does not only show how they promote Malaysia BUT, they unethically name drop the Philippines. watch the video here.

Netizens were alarmed and Aegis received negative comments for comparing and dropping the Philippines down! They have realized what was wrong they've done in the ads that was leaked and that led them to feel sorry..

Road Trip To the Original Mushroomburger in Tagaytay!

One thing that comes to my mind when it said Mushroomburger, is a burger with mushroom patty that can only be found in Tagaytay.

Description: (From Mushroomburger FB page)

We started growing mushrooms in Caloocan City in 1976, acquiring the technology from Taiwan. We first marketed our mushrooms to major hotels and restaurants throughout Metro Manila. Needing to expand, we moved our mushroom farm to Tagaytay City in 1978, where we also sold our mushrooms direct to the public. We produced four (4) different types of mushrooms, mainly the Abalone Mushroom, the Oyster Mushroom, the Wooden Ear and the Shiitake Mushroom. In the early eighties, one of our customers commented that mushrooms were more expensive than beef where he came from, and he asked, why not make burgers out of the mushrooms? That same day the first Mushroomburger was created, since that customer was no ordinary customer but was a Swiss Executive Chef of one the major Hotels in Manila. He wrote down a recipe that very day and after tasting it, declared it to be the best burger he had ever tasted. We sold the first Mushroomburger on November 1, 1980, and since then we have added several varieties, like the Mushroomburger Royal and King. We have also introduced the Mushroom Sandwich, which is 100% pure mushroom. In the nineties, we also introduced rice meals like the Mushroom Beef, Mushroom Delight and Pancit Canton Delight. Currently, we have two branches, one in Tagaytay and in 2004 we opened a second branch located at West Avenue, Quezon City, in front of the Philam Homes subdivision.

I have first visited the restaurant way back in late 1994 or early 1995 together with my cousins. I never came there again since then. Not until yesterday that when our family is complete on one gloomy Sunday. I was craving for the Mushroomburger days before then. And thank God for a glance of sun that day that made us decide to go on a road trip just to find where the resto is.

Famfie! Mushroomburger..here we come!

I used google map as our navigator that will lead us to Mushroomburger in Tagaytay. From point A to B..we just follow the highlighted route. Because it was in the news of typhoon Luis to landfall on that day that will affect Cavite with rains, it started raining again while we were on our way to Tagaytay. When we are near to point B, we got dismayed to see that it was Mc Donalds and not Mushroomburger. We thought that it was replaced by it anymore. Then we asked a man from there, if there's still Mushroomburger? Good that he pointed where it is right there!..it's a little drive away from Mc Do and can actually viewed the signage. But due of heavy rains that time..we didn't recognise the signage.

So here's to continue our Mushroomburger expedition..heheh

Finally here to order..

Culture Mushroom Display
I couldn't remember if they used to serve lomi and pancit way back 1994 which they have it now. Aside form burger meals, they also serve rice meals, noodle meals and fried chicken meals.

I only remember their authentic juicy and tasty Mushroomburger that i boast to my kids that's why i brought them here.
I ordered this meal: Mushroom melt with mushroom fries plus  drink..isn't it affordable?
Their burger meals come with regular french fries and drinks.

Here's what we ordered. A bowl of Lomi that is rich with mushroom ingredients. Pancit canton, a bucket of tasty and juicy fried chicken and their different variety of authentic Mushroomburgers.

Famfie! before having our Mushroomburger meals for lunch!
One reaction they said is "Panalo!"

One last famfie!
Thank you Mushroomburger for a tummy-filled Sunday! More people are coming in even it continue raining that time. I know that this is popular resto in Tagaytay..no wonder why! I wish you could renovate the place and make it more dainty and contemporary.

From one branch in Tagaytay, they opened another two in Katipunan and West Avenue. It's good that they also deliver :)

Celebrating our Decade and Four Wedding Anniversary at Century Park

My husband and i were in relationship for 20 years but blessed our marriage for fourteen years. We celebrate our Wedding Anniversary every 7th of September.

My husband works in a ship for nine years now and within those years, we haven't celebrated our Anniversary together. When our Anniversary come, i just cook in the house, get pictures of it and post it on social media with my personal message and prayers for our marriage life.He did the same too. In that way, we show how we value those special occasion that made our love for each other stronger even in a long distance relationship with the help of God. We were contented on that without expecting that one day,  we were given the opportunity to celebrate it together.  Our Fourteen Years Wedding Anniversary!

He was given the privilege to have his early vacation to settle some documents he needed for tranship. And because it happened to fall on our Anniversary, we both excited to celebrate it together and find 'We Time' on that very special day.

We wanted to spend our Anniversary really special since we will celebrate it while we were physically together this time...BUT we should consider our budget that would not hurt our pocket too!  So, here's what we did to enjoy our special day without spending much.

We bought the voucher from ensogo. It is an Anniversary promo of Century Park in their 38th years. The escape kit includes an overnight stay in a Superior room with welcome drinks, use of the pool and gym and a buffet breakfast for two for a very affordable price. We got it for only P3888.
Getting refreshed with our complimentary ice cold mango juice with a plate of mixed nuts at Atrium Lounge.
At night, we dress up for our dinner date..

Ready for our Dinner date

We had our Wune and Dine at Century Park Atrium Lounge in the night. As the hotel celebrate their 38th Anniversary, they had the promo of free bottle of wine when you ordered worth P1K on their appetizers. So we ordered the Calamari, Gambas and Chicharon Bulaklak and we just added two cups of rice to fill our tummy before having our glass of white wine.
Cheers to our Fourteen years!

Loving the intrumentalists' serenading us with their soft live music while we were having our dinner at the Atrium Lounge.
We had a relaxing night as we dine and wine  while listening to our requested music played with the live intrumentalists.
We requested to play "Through the Years" and "The Gift"
I share our Anniversary date experience to inspire the couples. Honestly, we don't own so much but we look on to our healthy relationship as a big blessing from God. My husband came from a broken home. I came also in unhealthy family relationship. From the time we were together, we agreed to changed for the better what was wrong to our own family we came at. One of the lesson I've leaned from a Couple's seminar, is that we should love our spouse more than our kids because when our children grew up, they too will have their own spouse and in the end, the reality-- you and your spouse are the one be left together.

We strongly believe in God's Word as the Light to our Marriage Path. Here are some Bible verses I want to share that will encourage and help strengthen your marriage.

1. “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:8

2. “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” – Ecclesiastes 4:12

3. "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." -- Ephesians 4:2-3

4. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

5. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." --Mark 10:9

Psalms 126:3

The LORD has done great things for us; We are glad.

Thank you to all our friends, relatives, brethren and sons who extended their support, warm wishes, prayers and greetings in our Anniversary. Here is to share the video of our sons who give extra effort and time showing their way of greeting us. Appreciated much sons!  HAPPY FOURTEEN DAD AND MOM!

GOD BLESS OUR MARRIAGE!
