Cruising Experience

This may be a long due post that I should post after the event in 2015. I just wanted to pursue for the sake of compiling good memories that I could look back in the future.

My hubby works aboard a passenger ship at P&O cruises. It was his dream and my dream too for me to take on a cruise someday but because their port is in the UK, it would be expensive for airfare just to get there and back. Anyway, it was still an answered prayer for us, we may not expect the way how we wanted it, I believe it is God's way of answering it through a friend. By the way, I didn't pay any for this cruise it was God's provisions. It was HIS favor indeed.

Cruising itself was the highlight of our trip. It was the happenings inside the ship, the experience to meet other nationalities who were also on a cruise. The food and different activities made me excited. We booked for 4D/3N cruise from Singapore-Malaysia-Singapore. I was also excited to reach Malaysia for another country to explore but we just spent the whole day there.
At first, I was afraid to board a ship because it might trigger my vertigo when the sea is rough. Instead of conquering by fear, what I did is to prepare before it happens. So I took the seasick tab and brought more for the entire cruise. Indeed, I enjoyed the whole cruise.

My friend's cousin is working onboard in RCCL Mariner of the Sea ship where we had our cruise. It was also her birthday on the date that we were there so we spent a night celebrating with her. We had our dinner at Giovanni's Table.

Happy Birthday, Liezel! We enjoyed the sumptuous food and your company. We pray that the Lord will always guide your life to the path which will give glory to His name. Enjoy every blessing!

Life on a cruise is a luxurious experience. Foods are flooding, events are everywhere, complete amenities, etc. You just have to go out of your cabin and explore the ship. They also give the list of activities for the entire cruise and decide on where you want to go and what you want to do.

I always thank God for this opportunity of an event in my life which I experienced to go on a cruise FREE from covid-19 and explore without wearing a mask then. Even today that the cruising industry is trying to get back in normal cruising operation, there have been safety protocols requirements in doing so. We may never know when the pandemic will end but in God's perfect will and plan, we must trust in His power. We are not in control of the situation, but HE IS. We can't assure that things will go back the same but for now, let us adapt to what the "new normal" is offering.

Thank God for the good memories to look back thru all these pictures.

Malakas nga ba sa kuryente ang Induction Stove?

Mahal ba ang paggamit ng electric appliances sa pagluluto (induction stove, air fryer, turbo broiler)?

JUST SHARING MY OWN EXPERIENCE πŸ‘πŸΌ

Total of 530 kwh from Dec 15 to January 12 na cut off for meter reading na nag bill ng P5288.14 sa dating P4331.41 from December bill.

Mahal nga ba ang de kuryente? In my case, yung tinaas sa bill ko na P956.53 ay sapat lang dahil ang gamit kong LPG ay nacconsume almost every 2weeks. Which is 2x a month ang konsumo ko ng LPG.

Mas naging happy ako to share sa inyo ang experience ko with everyday using ng induction stove, air fryer and turbo broiler..di naman pala malakas sa konsumo. Elegant pa sa kusinaπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Lovin' Korean Food

I am not a fan of K-Pop or K-Drama but I love their fashions and foods! If I remembered it right, the first Korean food I have tasted was Bibimbap, it means "mixed rice".

Ctto: Photo grabbed from Google
Bibimbap is one of the well known Korean dish. It consist of mixed rice with soy sauce, meat, veggies strips and topped with sunny side up egg or sometimes raw egg yolk. This bowl of Bibimbap is a complete balanced food that is full of nutrients. It has more vegetables that even you eat more, you won't feel bloated after. I therefore conclude that this Bibimbap has a big contribution to Korean health and figure--I'd never seen an obese Korean, not even one! :)

After taking the Korean main dish (Snow Panda does not serve Bibimbap), it's time for Korean dessert! Korean dessert means Bingsu time!

Mango Bingu in small serving  P150
but still good for sharing.

Bingsu is a popular Korean ice shaved dessert with shaved ice made from condensed milk topped with syrup and fruits πŸ§πŸ¨
Gladly that I had first tasted it with a satisfaction at Snow Panda. It was surprisingly tasted really really good! They have small and large serving.

As first timer I guaranteed for the best and so I asked their best seller bingsu and chose the big bowl which I didn't know that it is good for up to 5 persons depending on who will eat :).

Large bowl of Snow Panda's best seller --
Injeolme Bingsu P220

The one I ordered (see above picture) is too big serving for just hubby and me. So when we really can't finish it, I asked the service crew to take out the rest. Good thing they have take out cup and able my son tasted our take home Injeolme. Injeolme or Injeolmi bingsu is milky ice shaved dessert with Korean glutinous rice cake, soya powder and almond.

On our second visit, we brought the kids with us for them to try also the bingsu. We ordered the Mango Bingsu and Injeolme in two small serving.

2nd visit at Snow Panda with our boys
POWER!

We all liked Bingsu for its right sweetness, melt in your mouth and certified no brain freeze cold dessert πŸ˜Š

Affordable and good for sharing!

A Day in Learning the Cuppie Thing!

Life is always interesting.
There is always room for learning new things because it is a continues process regardless of age.

Today, I want to share with you what something new that I learned and experienced from a Cupcake workshop by Chef Joy Labos at Bakecraft Alabang.

I am not new to baking. In fact, I do bread and quite bake simple cakes and cupcakes which I learned from watching through Youtube channel. Learning these days is as easy as one click. The internet is so generous in giving the list of ingredients and procedures but I know that something must be kept for them and never shared everything they know that is why even though you prepared the right measurements of each ingredients and carefully followed the procedures, sometimes the outcome is far different from the expectations.

I am thankful that I was able to enrol on a one-day Cupcake workshop with a minimal fee of P2,000 including infredients, printed materials, apron, lunch, snack, certificate and a take home products. It's a steal, right?

Bakecraft is a store of baking thing. From ingredients, molder, topper, baking pans, box, etc. they all have it. It is a small building (an old house turned to be a store at the ground floor and kitchen upstairs where workshops are done) and can only accommodate 12-16 students I guess.

Our Chef instructor in Cupcake class is Ms. Joy Labos. A former teacher in LPU handling pastries course  (I just have noticed it from checking on Facebook from previous  post of her students.) She is kind and generous to share even her own techniques in baking. She always tell us that it is what we paid for 😊 to know everything!

I enjoyed the class, the way she teach, the new cupcakes recipes, new friends and learning and most of all the take home cuppies! πŸ‘

Honey Caramel Crunch, Chocolate Hazelnut,Peanut Butter and Jelly, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting, Chocolate Marble and Brazo De Mercedes Cups

There's nothing to beat on an actual demo class than just watching in Youtube because in actual class you have the chance to participate and you can ask the instructor if something was not clear to you. I am sure that this experience will have another day to repeat. But of course, not on a cupcake class anymore unless it has a new set of variety of cupcakes recipes but I will also try the other courses they offer.

Cupcakes and me!

If you are interested to learn baking, visit their Facebook page Bakecraft PH for queued workshops.
